in nizhniy novgorod now. all is well but sharing a dial-up connection on a line that only uses rotary phones (!) so access is limited and returns are slow. will go to moscow on the 26th, and board the train on the 27th. nizhniy is a much nicer place than moscow; friendlier, prettier, cheaper; i’d probably live here over moscow (if i could get highspeed access; i’m so weak). we have a nice one-room flat on the top of a five-story building in the city center (at Gorky park); it’s very convenient.
